Well... there's white magic, which is mostly healing and protective spells, and black magic, which draws on powers of darkness and negativity for offensive spells, and shamanism, which are spells that draw on the elemental energies found in nature and spirits.
I trained as a priestess, so my specialty is white magic... but my sister taught me some offensive magic when I was little, and it's come in handy enough times that I still practice it!
Yes. Most people go their whole lives without seeing one, but when I felt there were dark forces at work in the world, I just had to go out to fight them!
The common kinds are lesser demons and brass demons... monstrous creatures that can be dispatched with a good spirit blast. But pure demons... they're on a whole other level.
