The best way we can do that is by exploring and trying everything there is with each week. [ right? ] Hmm.. Have you fished before?

I don't know, as far as problems go, I can take some cold. And I don't mind huddling up for warmth like penguins.

Compared to intense heat, feeling cold does seem the better choice.

The underground lake in the new area has fishing equipment. I was curious on if you wanted to fish with me.

Yeah, we should do it. If it's something you like, then definitely.

I do. Haru and I tend to meet up every week just to fish. [ it's funny ]

But I've been thinking how fun it would be to fish with the rest of you.

Really? I guess that kind of makes sense...

But, uhh, yeah. Sounds fun. I always thought it was kind of boring, but—it'd be better with friends than my dad.

With you, who always likes to be on the move, I'm sure just sitting around waiting for fish to bite can be. But there are little tricks and ways to get them to bite. Especially if you make a game of it.

Sure, if it's a competition I wanna win.

We could make it a competition. See who can catch the most fish in an allotted time.

I bet I can catch more than Kazuki, at least. [ he does not strike her as a fishing boy... ]

No, if he's anything like Kyoko who lives in a very big city, I doubt he has that much experience. [ they look amused. ] We could make it a group event sometime with us.

Yeah, them big-city dwellers or whatever. [ ha. ] We should. Do as much stuff as we can, you know?

There's always is quite a bit for us to do at the start of a new area. But, I think it would be more fun to plan more group activities. [ digging a little in their small bag with a free hand. ] Oh, I have a few other food still too.

Yeah, it's different going in a group versus just going by yourself or with one other person. [ and, ohhh, another food? ] I could do another. This one is pretty underwhelming, honestly.

[gnosia]

Team activities in general make for good memories too.

[ They will pull out a mostly whole donut, it is missing a tiny piece. Still fresh and tasty looking! But they return to looking for something else. ] We'll have to remember how long we stay chilly.

Oh, good idea. It's been a minute, but I could start a timer for a... rough idea?

[ our phones probably have timers right? ]

[ If we have alarms, surely we have timers. They set the donut down in front of them, me just assuming they're sitting at a table for these cold huddles i guess. ]

That will work, yes. I know some tend to last an hour to three hours?

I've always dealt with three hours, but yeah, I've heard someone say something only lasted one.

..The fried milk was an hour.

[ They set a few other snacks down, but in their embarrassment of that admission, they just go to eat something to distract themselves without thinking about it. Cause SIGH. FRIED MILK SHENANIGANS.. ]

That's funny. The rhyming was three hours, but they're both, uh... verbal effects?

[ she is starting a timer, then! ]

We'll just say, give or take five minutes from this.

It was.. embarrassing. [ They manage after they swallow a bite of food, almost thinking about plopping their head onto the table in shame. However, Alex is here, and they are still huddling for warmth, so they bury against her instead while they look at the phone. ] The fried milk was verbal, yes.

What's consistent so far is everything seems to be a lot more short-term. Nothing nearly as long as lasting like the curses you'll see at trials or from the shop.
