Mmm... I'm not sure how to describe it. You just.. get a feel for the timing.
[ but the barrier is still in place which means... some memory is in play! though, the daily discussions are removed because they would extend the videos to 4873498 mins since it's back and forth of accusing people, voting who to cold sleep, getting intel from other roles but if you see the top left corner the mention of days changing its because these events are happening after daily discussions.
anyways, memory is here!! and as always, the name for the player is Takashi... hides kaio. ]
...Yeah. If.. Takashi hadn't done what they did, I would have died that day. At the cost of being entrapped permanently in loops, my life was able to be saved. Which might not seem the best of exchanges but... I meant when I said I was happy with what they did.
[ which they have mentioned before, but the memory of it is there. fresh and clear. of a time before Setsu entered the paradox of loops and alternative universes and the like.
they watch Alex a little, because with the combination of their first memory and this one.. there's probably other things she might want to ask. ]
[ she might have already gotten clarification on this but i forget so she does too. she's not sure how to articulate what she's thinking or if it's even worth it, because it really is just her going HUH... at her own world and situation though. ]
...Once erased, there's no bringing them back in that loop.
[ once dead... dead. ] But the loop ends, a new loop starts- and sometimes they're in the later loops, or not. It depends on the settings indicated by the key.
With the key, you can sorta... adjust the settings. It's like changing the settings on your device, or some of the technology here.
[ which they'll hold up their phone briefly as reference. ] With the settings, you can change how many people may show up in the next loop. What kind of roles will be around... things like that. It's to help you gather more information.
[ gnosia does involve some fourthwalling like that it's funny. (setsu voice) hey player, you should have the settings function now. change things to run into new stuff in the loops kay? ]
[ that's a mood. because Setsu has just accepted this being the norm with the key. ]
The whole structure is still a loop. It always starts at the same point: escaping planet Liu-An from the Gnosia that have overrun the planet. It was a bit more static for Takashi in the beginning, I believe. But for the most part, it's almost always randomized.
Admittedly, it's taken me so long to try and understand why the world works that way. That it is what it is but. I couldn't confidently explain it any more than what I know of the details. [ maybe they themselves aren't real.... ]
[ because it would be so exhausting to remember. to do every loop knowing about the loops before and the loops to come. but the thing is, when you don't remember, that sucks too. ]
But—I don't know if I'll ever get to figure things out.
... I'll keep trying. Like, I mean, I guess I already know that I'll keep trying whether I decide that right now or not, but... Whatever. Renewed determination or whatever.

... Yeah? Like, what? Dread?

It's like opposites. Being pulled into a loop to be saved...
[ or maybe - something else? alex is thinking, for some reason, after this memory, and not really saying much at first. ]

Then how do you know, like... what's real? If settings can be changed each loop it's—is that even a loop? Isn't that just a different... reality?

They're both two complicated situations. [ a brief pause. ] And when I go back, I'll have nothing but time to figure it out.

With how much you give your all to everything... I think you're capable of it.
