It was a survival competition against other artists. Dancers, former idols, bands, you name it.

Typically they'd just give us a "mission" and then we'd show our talents solo. After that the fans would vote their favorites.

So like a talent show. Those are good shows to turn your brain off to watch, but I guess it's probably totally different when you're on the show.
