[whee!! he'll make sure she's stable before he goes to use the oar to move them along - a little more briskly than the other gondolas? he does everything fast]

Let's do it. There's definitely way more room here to explore, so I wanna take advantage of it!

I actually took a boat out to sea before - so this is pretty easy in comparison.

[buzen inexplicably able to drive literally anything is canon,]

Have you ever been out on the water?
hasteful: (➛ please don't go away)

[personal profile] hasteful 2023-06-20 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
Is it? Good! My old captain said that without surprises, the heart will die before the body.

[so he's here to help keep everybody young!! :) ]

Oohh, who's 'we'?

[ . . . ? he makes a slightly confused face, but he doesn't push it]

... do you mean - stabbed in the heart?

[buzen doesn't understand cardiovascular disease]

[he just

laughs faintly]

Being a human seems complicated.
hasteful: (➛ should this be the last thing i see)

[personal profile] hasteful 2023-06-22 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
You think? Well, I guess I've only had this body for a couple years...

[but he did die so]

[he laughs]

My awareness is pretty old - hundreds of years. But I was a blade for most of it. Aruji only summoned us in these bodies pretty recently.

[another laugh - ] Ah, I'm not offended. I know that objects and blades feel pretty...

[he looks for the word]

Humans don't think too much about them, right? Not until they become significant in some way. But to answer your question, it's normally once an object gets to be around a hundred years or so, or if someone loves it an awful lot. For me, it was the former.
hasteful: (➛ so give me a reason and;)

[personal profile] hasteful 2023-06-23 06:23 am (UTC)(link)
[he nods]

Most of them don't. Fuku-sensei actually only just named his since he got here, but I'm happy he even tried.

There's more swords that have been lost to history than those that are remembered but... that goes for a lot of things.
hasteful: (➛ now even though they're eating)

[personal profile] hasteful 2023-06-23 06:32 am (UTC)(link)
Right. It's to the point that even some of my comrades end up asking big questions like 'What is history?'

I'm not sure if I'm smart enough for questions like that... but I do know that sometimes all you can do is remember the people close to you, and honor them. But maybe that's too simple of a way of thinking...

[personal profile] hasteful 2023-06-23 06:47 am (UTC)(link)
Right! The things you care about, the people that you love, the memories that you want to keep... I think all of that matters. People's lives are really vivid, and you'd be surprised what remains of what you leave behind.

At the very least, if we all get out of here like I hope we do, I'll remember you all wherever I go.
