[ after the mess of froggystyle, jonas gets out of the cuddle pile and grabs his jacket. he assumes alex will follow because it's what she does, and the two of them exit. he's not sure where they're going, but he is leading anyway. ]

I'm starting to think having four of us with the same psych is kind of an advantage. Nobody really suspects much of us.

Be honest, does anything about me really scream tie-dye? [ the other joke here is that jonas would ever actually care about aesthetics. ]

Yeah, definitely. Maybe the pink, green, and orange one? It's like sherbet.

No, they'll probably apologize for making you worry about their clothes, assure you they're perfectly fine with what they have, and say they would prefer you're comfortable instead.

[ it's a little dry but...kind of more forgiving because that is just setsu. ]

I didn't pry too much, but... Like, that it's different each time, I guess?

Yeah. The way they explained it to me was like...every time a loop starts, there's a new set of conditions before the loop ends. The loops aren't the same length each time, but...they're also the only person who really knows they're looping at all.

... But there is someone else looping. Someone else with a Silver Key, even if they aren't in sync.

Okay, so they did tell you. I didn't want to make it more complicated by mentioning it. Did they explain what the key thing does?

No, yeah, I—it's not like I expect you to tell me things that Setsu tells you in confidence.

Sort of. Like they said it was a parasite that gathers information. And it rewinds time and travels with them to parallel universes.

[ nodding because yeah, that's about what he learned from them. ]

After hearing all of that...it kind of felt dumb to tell them about the island. [ the island was traumatic and he's still Not Cool with what happened and what they saw and did there but like. he can acknowledge that is a little more fucked up. ]
